Meet the Team
Ray and the Team offer a prompt and professional service using the very latest and most sophisticated diagnostic technology to help solve problems with modern cars quickly.
In particular, their use of Autologic diagnostics which goes to the heart of the problem gives them access to all the technical details and specifications of almost all modern cars and is designed to keep you on the road!
So let's meet the team ...
Ray
Ray started the business over 20 years ago, initially working mobile, then based in Winterslow before moving to the Clearway Garage in 2013.
Ray has always had a special interest in 4X4’s and off roaders. When younger he enjoyed taking part in off-road trials and drive days. These days, he’s more likely to be found under the bonnet of a classic Land Rover.

He worked in the defence industry for 15 years before returning to his roots in the mechanical trade.
He first met Ray after starting up his own business carrying out vehicle paint and bodywork repairs.

George
George joined the R Hunt 4X4 team in October 2023 and is currently undertaking a welding apprenticeship.
George’s early interest in vehicles, engines and all things mechanical has resulted in him gaining a wide range of welding and mechanical skills, which he enjoys putting into practice at work.
In his spare time, if George isn’t in his workshop working on his collection of vintage tractors, he’ll be out on the road taking one of his vehicles to an agricultural show, joining in the summer harvest or taking part in a car trials event.

Harvey
Harvey is our amazing Garage Assistant, he joined us in 2023 and works on Saturdays and in school holidays. He’s already showing great mechanical talent and we’re hoping, when he finishes his final year at Test Valley School next year, he will join us in an Apprentice Vehicle Technician role.
Harvey enjoys competing in motorsport events which regularly take him all over the country. He also builds and modifies his race cars getting them up to spec for racing.
Harvey represents the next generation in the industry and we feel privileged to be able to help him on his way.

Aaron
As a small business, we feel lucky to be able to work alongside and utilise the skills of other colleagues in the vehicle repair industry. Aaron originally worked at R Hunt 4X4 when he was training to be a mechanic.
Now, a few years on and with lots of experience under his belt, he’s back! He works with us on a self-employed basis, enabling him to work flexibly whilst giving us extra manpower when needed. When not working (or tinkering with vehicles), Aaron loves spending time with his daughter
and visiting local rallies and shows.

Tilly
Tilly takes her office duties very seriously, she loves greeting customers and deliveries (especially if there’s a doggy treat on offer!).
